Park City is driving towards zero waste. We aim to prioritize “upstream” solutions using the zero-waste hierarchy:

  1. Prevent waste through source reduction
  2. Reduce waste through reuse and durable products
  3. Recycle materials to be made into new products
  4. Recover chemicals
  5. Energy recovery and disposal to landfill as least preferable
