2026 Sundance Film Festival | January 22-February 1

Main Street from Swede Alley to 7th Street will be pedestrian-only during the 2026 Sundance Film Festival.  ADA access will remain in place along Swede Alley and in the China Bridge Parking Garage.

2026 Resident Access Passes

  • Will be delivered door-to-door to all residents in Old Town ahead of the Festival
  • If you don't receive your Access Passes by January 15, please stop by the Special Events Office at City Hall to pick them up
  • Access Passes are not parking passes

Filming During the Festival

If you are looking to film during the Sundance Film Festival, all requests are due 21 days prior to the filming start date. Any filming requests looking to start on January 22 were due by January 1, 2026. No additional filming requests will be accepted after Friday, January 9, 2026.

Rules of the Road: Permitting Guide

The City works closely with Sundance Institute to protect its brand and sponsors. The Rules of the Road  outlines required permits, deadlines and other regulations for groups that are not covered under the Festival Special Event Permit.

Businesses interested in operating during the Sundance Film Festival should contact Park City Municipal. Include your organization name, primary contact, contact information, and the location and purpose of your inquiry:
