Milestones 

May 1, 2025 | City staff presented the initial feasibility of developing a new Senior Center at the Mawhinney Parking Lot site (four parcels along Park Avenue).

Council directed staff to prioritize:

  • Adequate parking and consider below-grade parking to preserve open space on the site, as reasonable
  • Optimize building placement, site layout, and street frontage
  • Include budget, final building size, and parking capacity

May 27, 2025 | The City released a Request for Statement of Qualifications to identify a design team for site planning, and to develop construction documents, a project schedule, and budget.

June 10 Staff Report

August 27, 2025 | Park City Council approved a Design Professional Services Agreement with Sparano + Mooney Architecture to design a new Senior Center.

Phase One (In Progress) – Concept and Schematic Design

  • Visioning & Programming | Workshops with stakeholders
  • Site Concept Alternatives | At least three options with cost models
  • Schematic Design | Refined floor plans, site plans, and renderings

Future Phases (pending Council approval):

  • Phase 2 | Design Development
  • Phase 3 | Construction Documents
