Park City Team Takes 1st Place at 2025 Utah Lifeguard Games
Park City, Utah – The lifeguard team fielded by Park City Municipal made a big splash this past weekend, taking first place at the 2025 Utah Recreation & Parks Association’s (URPA) Lifeguard Games in Kearns, Utah – outperforming 21 other teams from across the state.
Representing Park City, Britt Shunn-Mitchell, Caleb Judkins, Alexis Moon, Corey Wendel, and Nonie Frishette, competed in events that tested CPR and first aid skills, water rescues, physical fitness, and problem solving under pressure. The competition came down to the wire with Park City securing the win by just six points.
“This win means a great deal — not just to me as their coach, but to our entire Park City community. It reflects the standard of excellence we strive for in our aquatics programs,” said Aquatics Manager Stran Tassainer. “They competed with skill, integrity, and heart, and they’ve made us all proud.”
The victory comes at an exciting time for Park City Recreation as both the City’s lap pool and leisure pool facilities are undergoing a complete rebuild. Join us at the PC MARC to celebrate these impact projects at one of two pool parties being thrown on August 8 and 14. To register for those events go here.
