Park City Launches Municipality’s Official Podcast

‘PCCast -Where Context Meets Community’ Now Available Online

Park City, Utah – Park City Municipal has launched PCCast, a new podcast that brings Park City listeners further into the experiences and stories of their local government. Produced by the City’s Communications Team and hosted by well-known local personality Claire Wiley, PCCast explores the people, policies, and programs that shape everyday life in Park City.

“PCCast gives us another way to meet people where they are and share the stories behind some of the services, challenges, and projects we deliver,” said City Manager Matt Dias. “Whether it’s transportation solutions, the history behind an open space acquisition, or how our public safety teams manage our special events, this podcast brings listeners closer to the work – and the numerous people – working to make Park City a better place to live, work, and play. There hasn’t been a major initiative in Park City that didn’t involve residents, stakeholders, elected officials, and employees, working together to achieve an outcome, broker a compromise, or make Park City better than it was yesterday.”

The first episode, Behind the Budget, is live and features an in-depth look at how Park City translates City Council priorities into day-to-day services and infrastructure. Future episodes will explore topics such as complex land use decisions, controversial conservation easements, challenging capital projects, and even former bond or ballot initiatives led by stakeholders and small businesses.

Podcasting continues to grow in popularity with over 150 million Americans listening to at least one podcast monthly. By adding PCCast to its communications toolkit, Park City will reach residents through a format with greater depth and breadth than standard communication channels, especially appealing for those who prefer narrative-driven content on demand.
