Leadership Park City Announces 2026 City Tour to Vail and Breckenridge
Park City, Utah – Leadership Park City Class 32 will travel to Vail and Breckenridge, Colorado for its City Tour, scheduled for May 27-31, 2026.
City Tour brings together local leaders, elected officials, and community stakeholders to examine shared challenges and explore innovative solutions in peer mountain communities. The trip will feature meetings with both towns’ mayors, along with members of the Vail Resorts executive team.
"Vail and Breckenridge are both dynamic mountain towns that have taken big swings in recent years to improve their communities, including work on housing, transit, infrastructure, and sustainability,” said Leadership Park City Program Director Scott van Hartesvelt. “They also face challenges similar to those in Park City and Summit County, making them a perfect choice for City Tour in 2026. We're confident our group will learn valuable lessons on the trip.”
Leadership Park City is a 32-year-old civic and leadership training program sponsored by local government, business, and community partners. The program features monthly workshops on local and state topics of interest, led by decision-makers at the heart of those issues.
Each year, the class travels to a western town or city facing similar challenges. Known as “City Tour,” the trip features in-depth conversations with local counterparts, tours of key landmarks, and opportunities to experience the host community’s culture.
