Adam Lenhard Tapped to be Park City’s Next City Manager

Park City, Utah – Mayor Ryan Dickey has selected Adam Lenhard to serve as Park City’s next City Manager, following a nationwide recruitment process and subject to the advice and consent of the Park City Council.  Once confirmed by the Council at its regular meeting on March 19, Lenhard will lead Park City Municipal’s administrative operations and oversee the City’s day-to-day services, employees, and strategic initiatives.

“Adam brings a strong track record of organizational leadership and a deep background in city management and land use planning,” said Mayor Ryan Dickey. “Throughout this process, he demonstrated a thoughtful approach and a clear understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing our community. I appreciate the Council’s support throughout the recruitment and look forward to working together as we take this next step forward for Park City.”

The appointment follows an extensive national search conducted with the assistance of executive recruitment firm Columbia Ltd. The search drew more than 70 applicants; 13 semifinalists advanced through an initial review, and five candidates participated in in-person interviews with the City Council. Lenhard brings extensive municipal management experience and land use expertise to Park City. He began his career in municipal government after earning a degree in Land Use Planning and Resource Management from Brigham Young University.

He joined Clearfield City, Utah, where he served as Community Development Director while completing a Master of Public Administration from Brigham Young University. In 2011, he was promoted to City Manager for Clearfield City, becoming the youngest City Manager in Utah at the time.

In 2018, Lenhard was named City Manager of St. George, Utah, where he oversaw a municipal organization of more than 1,200 employees and led a range of operational, budgeting, and organizational initiatives.

He also served as an associate with the Utah League of Cities and Towns Local Administrative Advisor Program, which provides resources and support to more than 140 qualifying local governments across Utah that operate with limited or no administrative staff.

Since 2023, Lenhard has worked as a director in the private-sector construction industry.

“I’m honored to have the Mayor’s trust and grateful for the Council’s support, and I look forward to serving Park City,” said Lenhard. “Park City Municipal has built an exceptional reputation for providing a high level of service to residents, businesses, and visitors. I’m excited to work with the Mayor, City Council, the team, and all the community stakeholders — to continue that tradition and help guide the organization forward.”

Under Park City Code §2-4-1, the Mayor appoints the City Manager with the advice and consent of the City Council.
