Bikes on Park City Transit
Park City Transit provides a safe and convenient option whether you want to bring your bike on board to reach your destination or to explore the many mountain bike trails available in Park City.
Bringing Your Bike on the Bus? Please follow these guidelines:
- Bikes should not block the aisles. Passengers must be able to move freely throughout the bus and access the exit doors.
- Both bike wheels must be kept on the floor of the bus. This makes bikes more stable and less likely to cause injury.
- Riders must stay with their bikes, keep a hand on them, and keep them secure.
Using Bike Racks on Buses
Park City Transit buses have racks that can hold 2-3 bikes with standard-sized tires. Securing your bike is easy. Watch this video to learn more.
Bringing Your Bike on Buses
If your bike doesn't fit on the bike rack, you can bring it on board if space is available. It is up to the bus operator's discretion to allow your bike on board. Please be considerate of other passengers.
E-Bikes on Buses
E-bikes are allowed on the bus but not on the front rack due to their weight. If space permits, you can bring your e-bike on board. As always, the bus operator has the final say.
Trail Service
The 9 Purple route now includes a "Trail Service" to the Bonanza Flat and Bloods Lake trailheads. This service operates Fridays through Sundays, from 5:40 a.m. to 6:20 p.m., with a 20 minute frequency, through the fall. Regular service operates Mondays through Thursdays, from 5:36 a.m. to 6:06 p.m., with a 30 minute frequency.
Trail Service buses are equipped with new bike racks that are capable of carrying eight bikes, making it easier for bikers to access high-elevation trails without a long uphill pedal.
